Fantemation Entertainment, LLC., or simply Fantemation, is an American animation studio specializing in feature films, commercial content for all media, music videos and short films. founded by Junior Espinoza in 2006. The studio is best known for its animated feature films, GabyCartoon MovieWorld Home and Super Ninja Squad, all distributed by Lionsgate.


Fantemation was founded on May 29, 2006 by Junior Espinoza. For its launch, the studio signed with Lionsgate a four-picture deal to produce animated films for the studio. In 2004, Espinoza made his initial investment and his son Junior started work at the studio as an animator. The following year, Joel Cohen and Alec Sokolow, screenwriters of Toy Story joined the studio as a supervising screenwriters. In June 2006, the successor to, Fantemation, was founded.

The first animated feature film, Gaby, directed by Robert Rodriguez and written by Eric Smith, Greg Nagler, Joel Cohen, and Alec Sokolow.

The second animated feature film, Cartoon Movie, directed by David Bowers and Phil Cooper opened on August 15, 2014.

The third feature film, World Home, was released on June 24, 2016. It was directed by Ben Gluck and Vance Schultz.

The fourth feature film, Super Ninja Squad, directed by Junior Espinoza was released on May 25, 2018.

Fantemation is currently working on their fifth film, DanceStar, is scheduled for release on June 25, 2021, and is directed by Phil Cooper.
